Through 10 min. sound guided experience, the audience is introduced into a haptic-sonic microcosmos of valleys, mountains and wetlands. By activating the cutaneous senses, the nuances of the surface uncover and the inter-relations become palpable [imagine the smell of my fingers]. The touch activates the mechanoreceptors responding to mechanical pressure or distortion, transforming it into electrical signal. The installation generates sustained responses to static stimulation creating a common materiality, an indefinite sensuous boundary.
Hara Alonso is a Stockholm-based pianist, composer and sound artist from Spain. Her creative practice questions the hegemonic narratives around music and technologies by resignifing its tools and knowledge. By means of improvisation, multisensory practices, DIY and coding, Hara composes new sonic systems and languages.
